O baterista da banda, Carl Stokes, anunciou no site oficial da banda (www.tothegoryend.co.uk):
"Due to the lack of commitment to the band from John Walker (vocals, guitar), Cancer is no more. Carl Stokes wishes to thank every one who has supported the band with its return, and say sorry to anyone who is disappointed with this decision. However Carl is working on another band called HAIL OF FIRE .
The band will feature ex-Cancer members Dave Leitch (lead guitar), Barry Savage (lead guitar), Ian Buchanan (bass), myself on the skins and newcomer Rob Lucas on vocals.
This band is more brutal than the last Cancer albums, although I am very proud of them, it's time to get back to the straight ahead ferocity.
